When one little girl is eligible to have mobile phone, her mother want to find a suitable mobile plan for her. She gives 3 plans for her to choose, plan 1, plan 2 and plan 3. Plan 1 and Plan 2 provides more airtime than plan 3. The mother suggested her daughter to choose Plan 1 or Plan 2 since it provides more phone calls and more stable. However, her daughter chooses
Plan 3. Her mother very surprised her daughter's choice. Do you know why?
Her daughter said she don't need so much air time because she seldom call and receive calls from her friends. She chooses Plan 3 because most of her friends are three's subscriber and she can send messages freely. Her mother said she willing to pay the extra fee for the SMS. However, her daughter still chooses three because she afraids that her friends won't send SMS to her.
From this story, it shows the characteristics of the 90's.
1. They prefer written than verbal communication. Hence, it proves the propularity of facebook, blog, xanga ...etc.
2. Peer communication, acceptance are ultimate importance to them.
3. Their value system is different from we adults. Do not impose ours on them. We think what is good may not be good in their value system.
Hence, it order to communicate with them, you must be one of them, be one of their peer.
